The Vestal native was named conference player of the year as he set a new program record for homeruns and his team won a record 31 games. But that dream had a nightmare ending. He was involved in a car accident where the other driver was taken away in a stretcher. Jon of course didn't have a scratch on him. He only started playing basketball when he was 16, and focussed his attention on defense.     Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) This time of year it takes depth to win football games. Particularly on the college field. This week the Cortland State Red Dragons prepare for a second round game in the NCAA tournament, with 3 local section 4 grads adding to that depth.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Vestal girls soccer team has been red hot....so much so that coach Matt Wood needed to be cooled off. His celebratory ice bath came at the end of Vestal's win in the section 4 finals.
