Fenton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Hannah Elliott plays three sports and churns out As, and does it all with machine-like consistency.

"I sometimes stick to a schedule, like I eat around the same time, I do my homework around the same time."

"She's predictable, reliable and you know what you're going to get every single day from her," said coach Carl Kucharski.

What you get is a well-rounded athlete and student. Hannah plays varsity basketball, track and soccer for the Warriors. In the classroom, she ranks second in her class with a grade average over 102.

"My parents have always said academics come first, make sure you study hard, try to do the best you can," Elliott said. "That way later on in life you'll be successful."

Hannah has mastered that long time partner of success, hard work.

"She's got a great character a lot of athletes don't have today: her work ethic is just phenomenal," Kucharski added.

"With academics you have to study, if you have a big test on Friday, you should start studying probably Wednesday," said Elliott. "(You) always want to make sure you do your homework, always want to make sure that you pay attention to your teacher. "

"And the same kind of goes for basketball. You want to make sure, even in the off-season, you're still working on ball-handling, working on playing summer league -- always have to make sure you listen to your coach."

Her name is Hannah. She's hard-working. She's an honors student. Here's another H-word for you: she's also humble.

"I like to think I'm a pretty good athlete, but I'm no better than the next guy."

Hannah is not sure where her future lies, though she is considering Binghamton University. Wherever she goes, her coach is sure of this:

"She's already laid the foundation for a good future and I think she's going to do it as a parent, as a student-athlete in high school, and I think this will pay off dividends for her long into the future," her coach said.

An all-around future befitting of an all-around young woman: Hannah Elliott, our Academic All-Star.
