Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It may not have been a win for the B-Sens on Wednesday night, but by getting a point Binghamton is on the verge of making some history this weekend.

If Binghamton beats Wilkes-Barre-Scranton in regulation on Friday night. the B-Sens clinch their first regular season division title in the last eight years.

While the B-Sens and Penguins are technically tied in points for first, but Binghamton owns the tiebreakers. So an entire years worth of battles comes down to just one game.

"It's big, I mean we've battled all year. We've been in first place for most of the year so we want to stay there," said David Dziurzynski after Wednesday's loss. "We want it. We've just got to come out and play our game and hopefully we can wrap it up."

"It gives us a chance to compete for the division title and that's what we've been talking about all year, so we're happy with that. We're not happy at the end result of today's game, but we did battle," said coach Luke Richardson. "We've just got to make sure we're well prepared. I don't think there's going to be much to say to get motivated for the next game because it's all the marbles for sure for the division."

The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. on Friday at the Arena.
