Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton took to their home ice against Adirondack looking to complete a perfect home stand; however, Phantom goaltender Cal Heeter turned in a 35 save performance to lift the visitors to a 3-1 victory.

Chris Wideman got the scoring started for the Sens as the power play unit continued its success scoring seconds into its first opportunity of the night at the 9:34 mark of the opening period. The visitors seemed to take over with Adirondacks Brandon Alderson drawing the score less than one minute later. Kyle Flanagan was able to put the road team ahead for good with just over two minutes remaining in the first period.

The Phantoms extended their lead to two off with Jason Akeson’s first goal of the season 15:48 into the second period. From there Heeter turned aside a barrage of Senators shots to earn his first victory of the year.

Andrew Hammond suffered his second loss of the year surrendering three goals on 26 shots. With the loss, the Sens fell to third place in the East Division.

The B-Sens will look to even the season series against the Phantoms as they hit the road next Friday to travel to Adirondack for a 7:00 p.m. contest. The following night Binghamton will return to their home ice as they face Syracuse for the fourth time this season in a 7:05 p.m. puck drop.
