Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It has been a while since the B-U men's basketball team has come off a win. Interesting enough, the last time it was after a victory over UNH and that's who the Bearcats play next.
Prior to Saturday's win over Maine BU had lost eight straight. Of those eight games though, four of the losses came by single digits.
So despite the long streak, the Bearcats had a feeling they were playing well. However, even coach Tommy Dempsey admitted, it's good to be back in the 'w' column.
"I think there was certainly a little bit of relief," Dempsey said. "We were a little bit rejuvenated by the win just more from the standpoint we just felt like we were playing well enough to win, so it was nice to get a win."
"I feel like if we beat a couple of teams it will be better for us in conference play," said Reed while talking about conference tournament implications. "We won't have to play a number one seed, maybe we can knock somebody off, because we're last place in the conference right now."
UNH playing better than the first time these two matched up. The Wildcats are coming off a win against America East leading Stony Brook on Saturday.
