Watkins Glen, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Chase for the Sprint Cup starts in about a month, but this weekend's race at Watkins Glen International may be just as important for several drivers trying to make the NASCAR playoffs. One of which is the favorite for the Cheez-It 355, two-time winner Marcos Ambrose.

But Ambrose isn't the only favorite for Sunday's race. Last year's winner Kyle Busch looks to be in serious contention once again, and Brad Keselowski has finished second in the last three Sprint Cup series events at the Glen. It's no big surprise that those are the three drivers that are favored on Sunday at WGI.

"It's myself, the 2 and the 9. I think you're going to see those three cars be fast," said Kyle Busch. "I think you can always mix in a fourth and a fifth guy depending on who those are. Some days they're different than other. This year obviously the 24 has been real stout -- maybe he can carry that on into this week."

"I don't take any past history as any guarantee of success, for sure," said Ambrose. "But, you do know what it takes to win and that does give you a bit of confidence."

That is confidence Ambrose hopes can translate into a big win on Sunday. Sitting on the outside looking in at the Chase, Ambrose doesn't have much time to make a final run at the playoffs.

He didn't shy away from what he came to Watkins Glen to do.

"We've come here to try and win. But at the same time winning is very, very difficult in this series," said Ambrose. "You have to be just proud of putting effort in. For me if I have a good day, and drive the very best I can and can get out of here with a top five, I'll take it as a decent day. But we've really come here to win."

Of the three, Ambrose needs the win the most; he's the only one sitting outside of the Chase cut off.
