Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Cody Ceci was a first round draft pick by the Ottawa Senators in the 2012 NHL entry draft, and now in his first full season in the AHL, he's continuing to feel more comfortable.
He's fourth on the B-Sens in points with two goals and 14 assists so far this season.
For most of those 23 games, he's been paired up with B-Sens captain Mark Borowiecki. It's a decision that has paid off, as he says he continues to look to learn whatever he can from Boro.
"I've learned a lot, just through video, and watching guys like Mark Borowiecki," said Ceci. "He's my partner and I get to learn a lot from him every game. I'm lucky to have him back, it's kind of unfortunate for him, but I guess I need to take the positives from his game and apply them to mine."
Coach Luke Richardson admits he'll never be the same type of defenseman as Borowiecki, because of their differing styles. However, he said he sees some improvement in the defensive side of his game. For his full comments, listen to the full "Behind the Boards" interview with Richardson below.

Lawson misses practice
B-Sens goalie Nathan Lawson was not on the ice Monday at practice, and back-up Andrew Hammond will likely start Wednesday's game against Hershey, according to Richardson.
Lawson is a day-to-day situation with a muscle pull in his lower body.
