Greene prepares for a clash with Delhi

Greene, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Several clashes of perennial powers in different classes highlight the Section IV Week 2 football schedule. One is a battle between Class C's Greene and Class D's Delhi.

The Bulldogs struggled week one, losing to defending divisional champion Harpursville at home. Meanwhile, the Trojans were impressive in a 37-0 shutout at Bainbridge-Guilford.

However, despite the different results in their openers, Greene has a lot of respect for Delhi's program.

"Delhi is an outstanding team, Coach Kelly has been coaching forever and he's won well over 200 games, he's won a state championship," said Trojans coach Dave Gorton. "We're just hoping to show up, work hard and give him a game."

Greene hosts Delhi in its home opener on Friday at seven.
