Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) There will still be some great baseball action in the area later this week. Conlon Field will once against host the annual Broome County Hall of Fame Legion Tournament.

Local, national and international teams will do battle in a round robin tournament, ending with a championship game on Sunday.

This tournament takes the place of the old World Youth Classic.

Organizers say they put this tournament on for one reason.

"Just for the kids. It's great for the kids. Once you start seeing these bigger teams coming back. It's just great. It's great baseball and it's American Legion baseball," says tournament director Gil Wood.

Games will start on Wednesday morning and will run all day, every day through Sunday.

Admission is $4.
