The Binghamton University men's basketball team has struggled to find wins this season, but from the beginning new head coach Tommy Dempsey has preached it's about changing the culture.

In an interview with Action Sports that aired Wednesday, Dempsey spoke about if he believes BU is on track with where he thought it would be after his first year.

"I wish we won more games, and I thought we could have won more games," said Dempsey. "But where we are, we are, and I think that we've established the foundation. We've hit the ground running in recruiting, we have some good young players that we can build around, and the wins will come."

Dempsey also spoke about wanting to do better than just winning one America East Championship. He said he plans on making this team into an established program.

"We don't just want to have a good team, we want to have a good team year in and year out, we want to have a program," Dempsey said. "We want to have people that want to come to Binghamton University because it's an established program with tradition because great players have come here before them. I really believe we can do those things, but you know talk is cheap. We have to start moving this thing in the right direction, and I believe we'll do that starting next year."
