Owego, NY (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Owego's Grace Thomas can shoot from just about anywhere, but there's one spot on the court she prefers: the free throw line.

"I always take three dribbles, then I shoot," she says.

That routine has landed Grace at the Elks Hoop Shoot national finals for a second time. She went to Springfield, MA three years ago as a nine-year-old.

She says "it was good," but came in 11th out of 12th place.

This weekend, she'll be back and aiming higher.

"Top three...maybe first if i can manage it," she says.

Grace will compete against 11 other girls for a national championship.

Sounds daunting, doesn't it?

She'll tell you it boils down to 2 things.

"Concentration [and] being focused," she says.

See? It's not that hard. You might say it's in the bag.

Or in Grace's case, in the hoop -- nothing but net.
