Tioga handles Herkimer to go back to state semis

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Herkimer bottled up the Tioga running attack for the first half as the Tigers led 8-0 at halftime. However, Tioga ran away with the second half to win 43-13 in the Class D quarterfinals on Friday night.

The win earns the Tigers their third straight trip to the state semifinals.

Tioga now faces the state's top-ranked team, Randolph, next Friday in Rochester.

Randolph ended Tioga's season in last year's state semifinals, and is the last team to beat the Tigers.
