(WBNG Binghamton) The Tioga football team (10-0) knows it has its hands full from this point forward.
It is the state playoffs, after all.
The Tigers draw Herkimer in the regional round of the New York state playoffs in Class D.
"We know they've got big kids at skill positions. They've got a big kid at quarterback, big kid at fullback. Some good guys on the line, a real nice linebacker. He plays pretty well, moves well," Aiello said Monday. "We have our hands full. At this point, everybody you face is a sectional winner and there's a reason they're playing in Week 11."
Tioga comes off an 80-53 victory over Unatego in the Section IV final in Class D. In that game, the Tigers ran for 622 yards on the ground -- 217 of them from sophomore Jesse Manuel.
Herkimer head coach Andy Steele knows his team has to stop the run game.
"Obviously their reputation is very good," he said Monday. "They've been tough the last few years and tough this year. They like to run the ball. They've got pretty good size and they're quick."
Tioga and Herkimer kick off Friday at 7 p.m. at Ty Cobb Stadium.
