  • Jeff Maggert wins 2015 Dick's Sporting Goods Open

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Jeff Maggert overcame a two-stroke deficit at the start of the day, shooting a bogey-free 6-under-par 66 on Sunday to eventually outpace Paul Goydos by two strokes at the ninth Dick’s Sporting Goods Open.

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) When Canadian Rod Spittle joined the Champions Tour in 2006, he had a five-year plan. With a goal of retiring after the 2010 season, the 60-year-old former health insurance executive has now exceeded his expectations in professional golf by five years.

  • Sauers, Goydos lead DSGO after one round

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Gene Sauers and Paul Goydos matched 6-under-par 66s to share the first-round lead at the 2015 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. Sauers birdied two of the last three holes to first post his 66 and Goydos, without benefit of a birdie on a par-5, tied him after a 25-foot birdie on the 17th hole.

He settled for a 59, still the lowest round in Champions Tour history. Sutherland and Action Sports' Mike Peal went down memory lane to his magical Saturday at En-Joie.
