  • Herrera's clutch HR powers B-Mets past Erie

    Erie, PA (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton Mets second baseman Dilson Herrera launched a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning and Cody Satterwhite left the bases loaded in the ninth in a 5-4 win over the Erie SeaWolves on Sunday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park. Despite a season-high five errors, the B-Mets escaped on top in a game that saw five lead changes.

    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) The final round of the TCGA amateur was cut short due to rain but did crown a winner. Vestal's Patrick Milkovich won with a score of 203 after 51 holes.

  • Binghamton Challenger announces singles seeds, draws

    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) The top eight seeds for the Levene Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger have been announced for the upcoming singles main draw. The field is headlined by American Bradley Klahn who earned the top seed in the $50,000 USTA Pro Circuit Event held at Binghamton’s Recreation Park.

  • Hits aplenty: B-Mets top Erie, 9-3

    Erie, PA (WBNG BINGHAMTON) The Binghamton Mets hammered out 16 hits, with every starter collecting at least one, to defeat the Erie SeaWolves, 9-3, on Saturday night at Jerry Uht Park. The B-Mets went 6-for-11 with runners in scoring position and had five different players record multiple hits in the series-evening victory. Jayce Boyd led the charge, highlighting a three-RBI game with his fourth home run of the season.

    Johnson City (WBNG BINGHAMTON) It took 114 minutes, but Alex Varkatzas' late goal in extra time helped the GBFC Thunder topple Virginia Beach City FC, 1-0, in the NPSL playoffs.

  • STOP DWI: TC Tremors tie with Virginia

    Town of Dickinson (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Jill Silvanic's RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning rescued the TC Tremors Gold team from a shutout, but it was only good enough for a tie, as the Tremors finished knotted at 1 with the Virginia Legends at the STOP DWI Tournament of Champions Saturday.

  • Caputo, Van Cott fall short in LG&T qualifiers

    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Eight players moved on in the singles qualifying draw during day one of the Levene Gouldin & Thompson Tennis Challenger, Saturday afternoon at Binghamton’s Recreation Park. Local connections Alex Van Cott and Thomas Caputo both fell in their opening round matches. Six of the eight players who advanced were seeded in the qualifying draw.
