  • Four on the fourth: Cecchini's grand slam powers B-Mets past Portland

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Mets provided the fireworks, riding two home runs to a 5-2 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs Saturday night at NYSEG Stadium. Gavin Cecchini hit a grand slam in the second inning, before Aderlin Rodriguez added his ninth home run in the seventh. Michael Fulmer turned in another good outing, earning his third win of the season.

  • Road trip ends with 3-2 loss for B-Mets

    Erie, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Mets racked up 10 hits, but managed just two runs in a 3-2 loss to the Erie SeaWolves on Friday night at Jerry Uht Park. Michael Gibbons worked into the seventh inning in his Double-A debut in the losing effort.

  • B-Mets cruise to 5-0 win in Erie

    Erie, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Gabriel Ynoa threw the fourth solo nine-inning one-hitter in Binghamton Mets history and guided his club to a 5-0 win over the Erie SeaWolves on Thursday night at Jerry Uht Park. Ynoa struck out six, walked no one and faced just two over the minimum in his second straight complete game.

  • Erie storms back to down B-Mets, 5-4

    Erie, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Erie SeaWolves scored five unanswered runs to defeat the Binghamton Mets, 5-4, in come-from-behind fashion on Wednesday night at Jerry Uht Park. Jason Krizan drove in three runs, including two on a go-ahead double in the eighth, to spearhead the comeback and hand the B-Mets their third loss on the road trip.

  • Four B-Mets selected to All-Star game

    (WBNG Binghamton) Pitchers Luis Cessa and Paul Sewald along with infielder Josh Rodriguez and outfielder Brandon Nimmo will represent the Binghamton Mets at the 2015 Eastern League All-Star Classic in Portland on Wednesday, July 15. It marks the third straight season the B-Mets will send at least four players to the annual event.

  • HOF American Legion tournament kicks off Wednesday

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The annual Hall of Fame American Legion baseball tournament kicks off tomorrow at Conlon Field in Binghamton with 10 teams from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Puerto Rico.

  • Mullen re-signs with one-year, two-way contract

    (WBNG Binghamton) The Ottawa Senators announced Tuesday the club has agreed to terms with defenseman Patrick Mullen on a one-year, two-way contract extension. The contract will carry an annual value of $600,000 in the National Hockey League and $150,000 in the American Hockey League.
