    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Senior Tyler Deuel captured the heavyweight title, highlighting the Binghamton wrestling team’s performance at the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open Sunday afternoon at the Events Center. The meet brought over 400 wrestlers from more than 30 colleges and clubs across the country.

    Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the second year in a row the Whitney Point field hockey team is headed to the state semis. The Eagles punched their ticket with a 2-0 win at Maine-Endwell high school on Saturday night.

  • Second period flurry sinks B-Sens

    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Despite a four-point night from defenseman Chris Wideman, the B-Sens fell 6-4 on home ice to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Penguins used three unanswered second period goals to break open a 1-1 game and held on for their second win over Binghamton this season.

  • Chenango Forks claims third straight Section IV crown

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Chenango Forks sophomore running back L.J. Watson ran for a touchdown, threw for a touchdown and helped the Blue Devils to a third straight Section IV Class D title on Saturday. Forks beat Newark Valley, 42-21, on Saturday afternoon at U-E's Ty Cobb Stadium.
