    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) The Susquehanna Valley girls basketball team clinched its first Section IV championship Saturday, downing Norwich, 55-49. On the boys side, Chenango Valley used a 14-0 fourth quarter run to fly past Whitney Point, 50-36.

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Liz Wood finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals, leading top-seeded Maine (23-7) to a 78-71 win over host Binghamton (4-26) in an America East women's basketball quarterfinal game on Saturday afternoon at the Events Center.
