The Bearcats (8-17, 6-3 AE) still sit in second place in the league standings, but are now two games back of the defending champion Wildcats (15-11, 8-1 AE).

    Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Maine-Endwell's defense stood tall throughout the fourth quarter to help the Spartans hold off Susquehanna Valley 13-6 in the Section IV Class B semifinals on Saturday night.

  • Bearcats hold off Mansfield in exhibition opener

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Soph. point guard Marlon Beck II scored a game-high 16 points and freshman forward Willie Rodriguez tallied all 13 of his points in the second half as Binghamton men’s basketball eased past Mansfield 66-60 in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at the Events Center.

  • OT field goal sends Newark Valley to Section IV title

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Newark Valley's Connor Coleman didn't kick a field goal all season. He kicked plenty of extra points, but nothing longer. That is until Saturday when Coleman's 25-yard boot in overtime won the Cardinals their Class C football semifinal game against Lansing.

  • Blitzed in Binghamton: Syracuse rips B-Sens, 6-3

    Binghamton (WBNG BINGHAMTON) The Binghamton Senators surrendered four third period tallies en route to a 6-3 loss to the visiting Syracuse Crunch. After a scoreless opening period, the teams traded two goals apiece in the second setting up an even third period start. The Crunch managed to score twice in the opening five minutes of the third to open up a 4-2 lead and coast to the win.

  • Vestal claims fifth straight girl's soccer title

    Waverly, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Julia Lovaglio scored three goals for Vestal, and the Golden Bears beat Maine-Endwell 6-0 in the Section IV Class A girl's soccer title game on Friday night.

  • Norwich rallies past Johnson City, into Class B sectional final

    Norwich (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Norwich outscored Johnson City 27-7 in the second half, powering past the Wildcats and into the Section IV title game in Class B. Tristan Rifanburg and Michael Oralls scored two touchdowns apiece for the Purple Tornado.
