Scott Sasina is the co-anchor of 12 News This Morning, providing viewers with the news they need to get their weekdays started off right.
He has been part of the 12 News team for several years now, starting off as a videographer and news reporter in May of 2014. In late 2015, Scott joined the WBNG Sports team where he helped in reporting and filming highlights at local games. In April of 2016, he accepted the morning news anchor position and has been there ever since.
Scott started his broadcasting career in 2012. Before working at WBNG, he spent two years at Fox 40 WICZ where he was a production assistant, videographer and weekend news reporter. He also spent two years as a news anchor and reporter for his college television station at SUNY Oswego, WTOP-TV 10.
Born and raised here, the Southern Tier holds a special place in Scott's heart. He grew up in Endicott and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 2010. He was part of several school programs there, including Varsity track & field, football, and even musical theater.
Scott continued his education at SUNY Broome, receiving an Associate's Degree in Communications and Media Arts. He then transferred to SUNY Oswego and graduated in May of 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. While attending college, Scott continued to work at the news stations here at home.
One thing viewers should know about Scott is he loves sports. He loves watching almost any type of sport and is a fan of several teams, especially Notre Dame. He also roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Bulls during their seasons. In his free time, Scott likes to watch movies, listen to audiobooks, go fishing and hunting, and play video games on Xbox.
