Concerns grow as search for Upstate NY native hits 3 weeks

MIAMI, Florida (WBNG/WIVB) -- Concerns are growing for the western New York mother of a 22-year-old Genesee County native who was reported missing three weeks ago.

Alexis Say was last seen at a Miami hospital on Monday, January 23. Say grew up in Pembroke, New York and moved to Miami last October.

According to a report by WIVB in Buffalo, Alexis' mother Jennifer says her daughter was taken to a hospital for treatment after having a seizure. That day, she reportedly borrowed a woman's cell phone to call her mother and has not been heard from since.

According to her mother, Alexis was hooked on heroin and had been receiving treatment from a rehab facility. Someone from rehab was scheduled to pick her up from the emergency room. WIVB reports that her mother said security guards in the hospital saw her sitting in the lobby waiting for a ride, and that's the last time she was seen.

Anyone with information on Alexis's disappearance is asked to text or call (585) 545-5045. You can also visit the website
