Josh Enfield is a graduate of Maine-Endwell High School. His dream was to start Enfield's in the plaza where it now is. A previous pizzeria resided there for 30 years, after the owner retired Josh drew up a business plan and started the process.
Enfield's has become a part of the community. One customer says, "Enfield's is a great restaurant we eat here quite a bit, we actually bring our children in here, it's a great atmosphere. You come in here at dinner time, it's packed."
Josh says he wants to restaurant to be thought of, of more than just a regular bar. He really focuses on the food that is served and has even traveled to Ireland and brought recipes back. "Before I opened, I actually went to Ireland and I got a bunch of recipes over there. I hit the Jameson distillery, I hit the Guinness storehouse. We use beer to cook a lot of our dishes, we home make most everything that is back there. You know, we hand make patty our burgers. Our Guinness stew is, you know, straight from Ireland," says Josh.
Other food items include the deep fried cheese curds. Josh's wife is from Green Bay, Wisconsin and that gave him the idea to do the appetizer. As for Josh's favorite dish, "I'm a pizza guy. We toss our pizzas by hand, we make them thin that's just, we use the best cheese and we make our own sauce," says Josh.
Enfield's also caters and has an entire catering menu. To see that menu and learn more about Enfield's click here.
