BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- A Binghamton high school student is joining some elite company.
Junior Elise White was one of three students chosen from Central New York to attend the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair located in Los Angeles this May.This year, White studied a possible cause for Alzheimer's disease.She will take her findings to the fair where it will be judged by Nobel Laureates and scientists from around the world.
"This was my dream to go to this fair," White said. "I cried when I went up to accept my award because I just couldn't believe it."
White says her research is inspired by her great aunt-- who was diagnosed with dementia.
