(WBNG) – A horse in Port Crane is helping "Sock Out Cancer."

Jeffrey's owner, Karen Seaman, sent a picture of the horse sporting the colorful socks.

The socks have been sold around the area to raise money for local cancer patients.

The effort benefits the Lourdes Hospital Foundation and UHS Foundation.

You can get a pair in the gift shops at UHS and Lordes Hospitals.

Wegmans in Johnson City carries them as well.

Socks can also be purchased by calling at 607-338-7366.

Jeffrey's owner says the 15-year-old horse “was actually very patient about my putting his Sock Out Cancer socks on and would love to see a Cancer-free World just like the rest of us.”
