BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - According to multiple reports, the National Football League has approved the following rule changes for the 2017 season. The overtime period will be reduced from 15 minutes to ten minutes. The NFL has eliminated the 75-player roster cut date. Teams will now cut their roster from 90 to 53 following the final preseason game. Also, the NFL has relaxed its celebrations penalties. Players are now allowed to celebrate in groups, celebrate on the ground and use the ball as a prop during celebrations.
