TOWN OF NEW LISBON (WBNG) -- A man has been charged with murder and assault, according to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said on Friday, at around 9 p.m. the Otsego County 911 Center took a 911 Emergency call from Perry Webb, 59, of New Lisbon.

Investigators said as a result of that call law enforcement units from the Sheriff’s Office and NYS Police were dispatched to a residence at 393 Wheat Rd. in the Township of New Lisbon.

Deputies said when they arrived they found 63-year-old Arthur Bellinger of New Lisbon dead as well as one injured male and Webb. Police said the injured male was transported to Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown with non life threatening injuries and was later released.

Investigators said their investigation shows Webb assaulted both victims at his residence on Wheat Road causing the death of Bellinger. Otsego County Coroner Terry Knapp has been assigned the case and an autopsy is pending.

Webb was charged with murder and assault in the Second Degree.

The investigation is continuing by the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office, the NYS Police and District Attorney John Muehl.
