Police: Four arrested for Town of Homer meth lab

TOWN OF HOMER (WBNG) -- The Cortland County Sheriff's Office has arrested four suspects at an apartment on Little York Crossing Road in the Town of Homer Saturday on suspicion of manufacturing a meth lab. 

A search warrant was conducted by the Cortland County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators with the assistance of the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT). As a result of the search, several items were located and seized that are used for the manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

Robert Benson, 42, Sarah Wacht, 31, Stephanie Wiers, 24, and Travis Hartwick, 26, have been charged with Unlawful disposal of methamphetamine, along with other charges. 

Police say the investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.

The defendants are awaiting arraignment.
