ENDICOTT (WBNG) - The PGA Tour Champions will take over Endicott starting August 14 for the 2017 DICK'S Sporting Goods Open. The first round officially tees off on August 18. In 2016, Paul Goydos shot a final round 69 to hold off Wes Short Jr. and Neal Lancaster and win the DICK'S Open by two strokes. For a golfer who has shot 26 under par during his last two DICK'S Opens, there are many holes at the En-Joie Golf Club that Goydos has played well on, but the hole he loves the most, he experienced to its fullest last tournament.
"What I really like about this golf course, more than anything, is you get up on 18, and to me, it's a great finishing hole because if you hit good shots, you're going to have a decent chance of making birdie," said 2016 DICK'S Sporting Goods Open champion Paul Goydos. "Hit a bad shot, you have a good chance of making double. So, this tournament is never really over until the guy gets it on the 18th fairway off the tee."
Goydos parred the 18th hole on Sunday in 2016 to win the DICK'S Open.
