New York Mets No. 2 prospect Dominic Smith will make MLB debut Friday

PHILADELPHIA (WBNG) -- Former B-Met and current Mets No. 2-ranked prospect Dominic Smith will make his Major League Baseball debut on Friday night at Citizens Bank Park against the Phillies.

Smith will bat sixth and play first base.

PHILADELPHIA (WBNG) -- According to MLB.com reporter Anthony DiComo, former B-Met and current Mets No. 2-ranked prospect Dominic Smith will be promoted to the New York Mets prior to Friday's game in Philadelphia against the Phillies.

Smith, a former first-round draft pick in 2013, was hitting .330 with 16 home runs, 34 doubles and 76 RBI in 114 games at Triple-A Las Vegas this season.
