Delgado and Thompson lead Ponies to victory

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Casey Delgado pitched into the ninth inning and David Thompson drove in three runs to lead the Rumble Ponies to victory against the Seawolves Tuesday night in Erie, Pennsylvania, 5-3. Delgado threw eight-and-a-third innings, allowing three earned runs on just three hits and three walks. Thompson went two-for-four with two extra base hits, including his 12th home run of the season. 

Matt Oberste and Tomas Nido each collected two hits in the victory for the Ponies. Cory Burns picked up the final two outs of the game to record his 18th save of the season. 

Binghamton (70-49) wraps up its three-game road trip in Erie on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. The Rumble Ponies magic number to clinch a postseason berth now sits at 13.
