Southern Tier MobilePack is a food packing event to provide 100,000 meals to starving children around the world and canned goods to local families right in the Binghamton area community. The packing event will need more than 500 volunteers to help. What the volunteers do is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship these meals around the world.
According to UNICEF, at least 6,200 children die each day from hunger related causes. Through the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event people are able to help children around the world. Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding starving children.
John and Jack Hrustich joined Kara Conrad to tell her their involvement with the food packing even. Jack and his younger brother, Noah, have formed a fundraising team online. To date, they have raised more than $1,000.
The Southern Tier MobilePack event will be held on November 3 and 4 at the Endwell United Methodist Church on 3301 Watson Blvd. in Endwell.
