Six-run 7th inning leads Ponies to 80th victory

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Trailing by a run entering the seventh inning, the Rumble Ponies put six runs on the board in the seventh against the Erie SeaWolves at NYSEG Stadium to cruise to its 80th victory of the season. Final score, 8-3. 

Kevin Taylor started the scoring in the seventh with a RBI double, bringing home Matt Oberste. Kevin Kaczmarski followed Taylor with a sacrifice fly to score Tomas Nido. The next batter, Patrick Biondi, singled home Taylor. Then, Luis Guillorme singled in Biondi. After a L.J. Mazzilli walk, Peter Alonso recorded a two-RBI triple to put the Ponies up, 8-3. 

Marcos Molina tossed seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits, while striking out seven. Molina earned his third victory of the season. 

Binghamton (80-54) and Erie continue their four-game series at NYSEG Stadium Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m.
