Guillorme, Oberste and Mazzilli lead Binghamton in win

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Luis Guillorme, Matt Oberste and L.J. Mazzilli each had three hits, as the Binghamton Rumble Ponies beat the Erie SeaWolves 6-3 on Thursday. With the victory, the Rumble Ponies swept the four-game series.

Oberste doubled and singled twice, scoring two runs.

Binghamton started the scoring in the second inning when Mazzilli hit an RBI single and Champ Stuart hit a sacrifice fly.

After Binghamton added four runs, the SeaWolves cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Mike Gerber hit a three-run home run.

Binghamton right-hander Casey Delgado (11-6) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing three runs on five hits over eight innings. Opposing starter Spencer Turnbull (0-3) took the loss in the Eastern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and eight hits over four innings. Adonis Uceta recorded his first save of the season.

With the win, Binghamton improved to 13-6 against Erie this season.
