Since 2016, the Binghamton Philharmonic has searched nationwide for it's next Music Director. After a lot of hard work and reviewing over 150 candidates, three finalists have been chosen.
One of the finalists, Matthew Kraemer, joined Kara Conrad on Around the Tiers to talk about the upcoming performance and his history with the Binghamton Philharmonic. Kraemer is quickly making his mark among young American conductors for his inspired performances and versatility. Kraemer is currently Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. He additionally serves as Music Director of the Butler County Symphony and recently completed his fifth and final season as Music Director of the Erie Chamber Orchestra.
During the performance with the Binghamton Philharmonic there will be works by Barber, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak. Tessa Lark will have also have violin solo.
Kraemer will be conducting the Binghamton Philharmonic for Dvorak 8 on September 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Forum Theatre.
