(WBNG) -- Two men will spend several years in prison in connection to a heroin distribution ring after being sentenced in Broome County Court on Friday.

Broome County Judge Kevin Dooley sentenced Devon Johnson, 39, to 10 years in prison with three years of parole and Maurice Rollins, 45, to six years in prison with two years of parole, according to the Broome County District Attorney's Office.

Both Johnson and Rollins pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance in July.

The pair were two of six arrested in a traffic stop on Interstate 81 in October 2016. Officials say several ounces of heroin and several thousand dollars had been seized in the bust.
