Fresh made to order foods, largest brown liquor selection in upstate New York and live music seven days a week. That's what you'll experience at McGirk's Irish Pub.
The restaurant has introduced a brand new menu. It's simple, easier for people to read and easier for someone to choose a meal. Sandwich and burger prices have been reduced and no longer come with a side, "a lot of people we were watching they wouldn't finish their fries or their mac salad or something so it was going to waste and we charged them for it so it's not like we were losing money, but the nice thing is now, you get what you want," said owner Tim Ward.
A new feature in the menu is the build-a-burger section. All you have to do is choose a base, either with beef, grilled chicken, black bean or a portabella mushroom and then add toppings as you go.
Another new item on the menu is the Reuben Stacker. It's three pieces of rye bread, corn beef, pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and McGirk's homemade thousand island dressing. Other favorite foods include the Guinness Chili, Wedge Salad and the Haddock Fish and Chips. See the full menu online.

On Friday, September 15 the restaurant is celebrating half way to St. Patrick's Day from 8 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Visit the restaurants Facebook page to see other events that are happening throughout the year.
