BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Syracuse Orange and Albany Great Danes have agreed to a non-conference football game to open the 2021 season, the two schools announced on Tuesday. The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs and will be played inside the Carrier Dome.
The Great Danes are a FCS football program with a 2-1 record in 2017.
Syracuse now has three non-conference opponents scheduled for 2021, Wisconsin, Liberty and Albany, with all three games at home.
The 2017 Orange (2-1) head to LSU Saturday night to face the Tigers at 7 p.m. LSU is currently ranked 25th in the nation.
