Since 2016, the Binghamton Philharmonic has searched nationwide for it's next Music Director. After a lot of hard work and reviewing over 150 candidates, three finalists have been chosen.

Another finalist, Chris Kim, joined Kara Conrad on Around the Tiers to talk about his upcoming performance with the Binghamton Philharmonic and his current position at Cornell University.

Kim is in his 14th year as Cornell University's Director of Orchestras and Associate Professor of Music. Kim is also a big fan of contemporary music.

The concert he will be conducting is "Sibelius 7," which will feature Jean Sibelius' "Symphony No. 7" as well as Ernst Bacon's "Remembering Ansel Adams (A Mountain Threnody)" and Aaron Copland's "Quiet City."

See Kim and the Binghamton Philharmonic on Saturday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. at The Forum on 236 Washington Street in Binghamton.
