Maine-Endwell Football - 12 Sports Social Star - Week Four

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- New this year to Sports Overtime is the 12 Sports Social Star of the Week!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Every Sunday, you the viewer will get to cast your vote on Twitter (@LarryBurneal and @TylerFeldman12) for the top Section IV performer of the week.

The poll will officially open at 6:30 p.m. and close at 10:30 p.m. every Sunday night.

The winner will be announced during 12 Sports at 11!

WEEK FOUR - NOMINEES

  • The Maine-Endwell Football Team - 12 Sports Social Star of the Week winner!
    • After scoring just 19 total points combined in their first three games of the season, the Spartans offense exploded for 41 points in Friday night's 13-point win on the road against Waverly.
  • The Union-Endicott Football Team
    • Led by QB Devon Hogan, who rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns, the No. 13 Tigers topped rival Binghamton on Friday night, 27-12, in our 12 Sports Game of the Week to stay perfect at 4-0.
  • The Newark Valley Football Team
    • Led by a trio of talented offensive weapons, the No. 1 Cardinals crushed Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour, 42-6, to move to a perfect 4-0. QB Collen Hills went 4-4 for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore Caden Bennett caught two passes for 85 yards and two scores, while rushing two times for 67 yards and one score. Tyler Beebe added eight rushes for 115 yards and one touchdown.
  • The Sidney Football Team
    • Led by QB Darren Smith, who passed for 369 yards (21-27) and four touchdowns, the No. 2 Warriors fended off No. 10 Harpursville/Afton on Friday night, 42-19, to remain perfect at 4-0. Wide receiver Liam Matthews caught eight passes for 148 yards and two scores, Ethan Finch added seven grabs for 123 yards and two scores and Brandon Evans tallied 6 catches for 98 yards and one touchdown.
