Joseph Mancini: 12 Sports Social Star - Week Five

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- New this year to Sports Overtime is the 12 Sports Social Star of the Week!


Every Sunday, you the viewer will get to cast your vote on Twitter (@LarryBurneal and @TylerFeldman12) for the top Section IV performer of the week.

The poll will officially open at 6:30 p.m. and close at 10:30 p.m. every Sunday night.

The winner will be announced during 12 Sports at 11!


  • Connor Borchardt: Chenango Forks Blue Devils
    • The senior tight end and defensive end showcased his multitude of talents Friday night. Helping Chenango Forks stay perfect at 5-0 with a 48-6 win over Waverly. On offense, Borchardt finished with two catches for 44 yards and two touchdowns. On offense, he tallied one interception, one sack and seven tackles.
  • Joseph Mancini: Maine-Endwell Spartans - 12 Sports Social Star of the Week winner!
    • After scoring just 19 total points combined in their first three games of the season, the Spartans offense has exploded for 95 points combined in their last two contests. Leading the way is QB Joseph Mancini, who dazzled offensively in the Spartans 54-28 win over Windsor on Saturday. The junior rushed 12 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while completing three passes on four attempts for 73 yards and one score.
  • Devon Hogan: Union-Endicott Tigers
    • The senior QB continues to dominate the gridiron, leading the Tigers to a 33-12 victory over Horseheads Saturday afternoon. No. 13 Union-Endicott is now a perfect 5-0, and Hogan is a big reason behind the team's success. On Saturday, Hogan rushed 12 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns, while completing five passes on eight attempts for 22 yards and one score.
  • Jarred Freije: Susquehanna Valley Sabers
    • The junior QB is fearless on the football field, leading No. 21 Susquehanna Valley to a 29-22 road win against Owego Friday night. In doing so, the Sabers move to 4-1. On Friday, Freije rushed 15 times for 45 yards and one touchdown, while completing three passes on seven attempts for 109 yards and two scores.
