BROOME COUNTY (WBNG) -- Authorities say man had to be tased during a pursuit that spanned both the city of Binghamton and the town of Fenton.
According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to pull over Tahjaray Pugh, 27, early Saturday on Henry Street in Binghamton for a traffic violation.
Pugh did not pull over, deputies say, and led police on a chase through Binghamton before stopping on Nowlan Road in the town of Fenton.
Deputies say Pugh fled on foot before being tased.
Upon investigation, authorities note Pugh had individually wrapped bags of marijuana in his vehicle.
Pugh was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, marijuana possession, reckless driving, resisting arrest and other traffic violations. He was arraigned at the sheriff's office and sent to the Broom County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
