Injuries force Seton Catholic's football season to end

Posted: Updated:

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Seton Catholic eight-man football season is over. Seton Catholic Principal Matthew Martinkovic told 12 Sports on Tuesday, due to injuries the Saints cannot field enough players to meet state requirements, effectively ending its season.

The Saints eight-man football experiment lasted four games with one victory. Seton Catholic had two games remaining on its schedule, both road games.

The 2017 season is over, but Martinkovic told 12 Sports, the school still plans on having a football team next year.
