BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Two men face drug charges after police say they recovered more than 100 bags of heroin in a Binghamton raid.
Authorities say they executed a search warrant at 161 Laurel Ave on Wednesday.
According to investigators, 105 bags of heroin were found, along with about three grams of unprocessed heroin, drug packaging materials and about $1,400 in suspected drug sale proceeds.
Two men, 38-year-old Jeffrey Madison of Binghamton and 32-year-old Richard Nettles of Brooklyn were arrested as a result of the investigation.
Both were charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Police say Nettles also had an active parole violation warrant out of Brooklyn.
Madison and Nettles are being held at the Binghamton Police Department awaiting arraignment in Binghamton City Court.
The search warrant was executed by members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force.
