Binghamton looks to win back-to-back titles for first time since '11-'12

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The final Section IV football title game is the Class AA championship between Binghamton and Elmira. Binghamton is quite familiar with playing for the championship and could win back-to-back titles for the first time since 2011-2012 if they can beat rival Elmira for the third straight time.

"The kids at Binghamton understand that you can't have success unless you get to this game," said Binghamton head coach Mike Ramil. "So the bottom line is, over my tenure here, we've only missed this game once. So, they understand the importance to play well enough at the end of the season to get to the Section IV finals."

"I feel like everybody is healthy," said Binghamton senior linebacker Mattias Hime. "Everyone is coming to play. Everybody is ready. We aren't taking anything lightly anymore. Just coming to play during practice and the game is going to be physical. Real physical."

Kickoff is set for Saturday at 6 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton.
