Union-Endicott and Tioga capture Section IV Championships

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Friday night kicked off two days of Section IV football championships at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton. The first game saw 11th-ranked Tioga take on the defending Section IV champs, fourth-ranked Sidney for the Class D title. In the second game, rivals Union-Endicott and Vestal met for the second time this season for the Class A championship. Vestal won the regular season contest on a game-winning field goal, handing the Tigers their only loss of the season. Union-Endicott entered the game as the defending Section IV champs. 

Friday Section IV Football Championship Final Scores

Class A Championship: Union-Endicott (9-1) 21 - Vestal (5-4) 17

MVP: Devon Hogan - Scored game-winning touchdown with 55 seconds left in the 4th quarter.

Union-Endicott advances to regionals on Friday, November 10 at Union-Endicott High School at 8 p.m. 

Class D Championship: #11 Tioga (8-1) 63 - #4 Sidney (8-2) 42 

MVP: Nick Klossner - 3 rushing touchdowns, 1 receiving touchdown, 2 interceptions.

Tioga advances to regionals on Friday, November 10 at Union-Endicott High School at 4 p.m. 

Saturday Section IV Football Championship Game Schedule

Class C Championship Game

#1 Newark Valley vs. Oneonta: Saturday, November 4 at 12 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.

Class B Championship Game

#2 Chenango Forks vs. #19 Norwich: Saturday, November 4 at 3 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.

Class AA Championship Game

Binghamton vs. Elmira: Saturday, November 4 at 6 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
