BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Belleville took round one of the season-long battle between the Senators and Binghamton Devils on Wednesday night, but it's a quick turnaround for Binghamton. The B-Devils host Toronto for back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday night. 12 Sports Director Larry Burneal caught up with Binghamton Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky for part two of this week's B-Devils Sit-down.
What are some of the challenges of playing the same team two nights in a row?
"Well, I actually like it, in a sense that it gives you more of a playoff feel," said Binghamton Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. "Teams are going to make adjustments. I dealt with this a lot as a player and a coach when I was in Norfolk, you always had two game sets. It's difficult because whatever team plays well the first night, the other team is probably going to respond with (a change). Whether it's lineup changes or (a) goaltender change, so that brings certainly different challenges when you play a team back-to-back. But, I think it's more about the fact that they are off to a good start and loaded up with a pretty good team again. So, it's going to be a good challenge, whether it was one or two games, but the two games certainly throws a little different approach to it as far as making changes and making adjustments from night-to-night."
Puck drops at 7:05 on Friday and Saturday night.
