TONIGHT AT 6: Owego native seizes opportunities, prepares for Cortaca Jug

Posted: Updated:

ITHACA, N.Y. (WBNG) -- On Saturday the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons football team will head to Ithaca College's South Hill where both teams will face off in the 59th Cortaca Jug.

Ithaca College sophomore Will Gladney, a wide receiver, has had a monstrous season. However, it hasn't been the easiest road that brought him here, as he's had to deal with situations he can't control... much like the passes thrown his way during a game.

Since he was around the age of five he has moved from 25 different group homes due to a situation in his household. He said he never had a childhood, but that didn't stop him from seizing opportunities that came his way.

Friday on 12 News at 6 p.m., we'll introduce you to Gladney and explain how his life experiences have helped to prepare him for Saturday's big game.
