COLESVILLE (WBNG) -- State troopers say a crash on Interstate 88 Monday night was the result of an unsafe lane change.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Interstate 88 eastbound between exits 6 and 7, according to state police.
Troopers say the driver of the tractor-trailer unsafely moved from his lane and struck a pickup truck that was parked on the shoulder. Police said that the pickup truck was parked because the driver was assisting the driver of another pickup truck that had a mechanical issue. That pickup truck was also parked on the shoulder.
The tractor-trailer struck the pickup truck which then hit the other pickup truck with the mechanical issue, according to police. Authorities say the tractor-trailer then hit an embankment, causing it to flip on its side.
Troopers say both pickup truck drivers were inside their vehicles at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported.
The tractor-trailer driver was ticketed for moving from a lane unsafely, according to state police.
