BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Binghamton Devils host the Providence Bruins Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. Before the B-Devils hit the ice, 12 Sports Director Larry Burneal caught up with head coach Rick Kowalsky to talk about the shutout victory against Rochester on Saturday in the latest edition of B-Devils Sit-down.
5-0 shutout victory over Rochester on Saturday, is that the type of victory that can give the B-Devils some momentum moving forward?
"Well we'd hope so," said Binghamton Devils head coach Rick Kowalsky. "Certainly, kind of an extension of the way we played the night before in the sense that we competed, we played tight as a five-man unit. I like the way we skated and played fast with and without the puck. So, again we keep talking about the process through some of this stretch, and we were fortunate enough to get the result. We got good goaltending, but both games we only gave up 18 shots. So that's been big, and we mustered, I think, 30 in both games. So, tide kind of turning the right way. Now it's about continuing to do it and obviously the guys should feel a little better about themselves as far as how they played, but we still have a long way to go to make up for some lost ground here."
