SYRACUSE (WBNG) -- Jack Howe scored three rushing touchdowns to lead Pleasantville to the Class B State Championship, 28-14, over Chenango Forks Sunday afternoon at the Carrier Dome.

Howe scored on a 77-yard run on the second play from scrimmage to put the Panthers in front. Chenango Forks battled back the entire game. Jeremiah Allen scored two touchdowns, but the Panthers sealed the deal with a 26-yard touchdown run from Charlie McPhee to go up 14 points late in the fourth quarter. The Blue Devils turned the ball over four times in the loss.

"We had some turnovers that certainly hurt us, and I think we made some other mistakes that we typically don't make," said Chenango Forks head coach Dave Hogan. "At the same time, I still thought we made some really good plays against a good football team. It hurts a lot because your ultimate goal is to win this thing. It's gonna hurt when you put your heart and soul into it."
