M-E's Goldstone headed to Vermont

Posted: Updated:

TOWN OF UNION (WBNG) - Maine-Endwell senior Gina Goldstone signed her letter of intent on Monday to continue her field hockey career at the University of Vermont. The Spartans reached the state championship game in field hockey this fall and M-E head coach Heather Doyle called Goldstone the 'heart' of the team.

Goldstone is a four-time STAC all-star in field hockey, and also plays lacrosse for Maine-Endwell. The senior says she decided on Vermont for her sport and the campus.

"Definitely the field hockey program," said Maine-Endwell senior Gina Goldstone. "The coaches there are awesome and the program is great, but also the atmosphere of Vermont. It was so lively there. It's right on the lake and it's beautiful."

Goldstone was chosen Homecoming Queen this year at Maine-Endwell.
